At the heart of the Lintrac 160 LDrive is the TMT 14 continuously variable transmission, which was developed jointly by ZF and Lindner. The new FPT engine with a displacement of 4.5 litres delivers 129 kW (175 hp) and impresses with its very high torque (700 Nm). The air-suspended cab, combined with the sprung front axle and independent suspension, guarantees maximum driving comfort. Thanks to its 4-wheel steering, the Lintrac 160 LDrive is the most manoeuvrable model in its performance class.

The newly developed panoramic cab in the Lintrac 160 LDrive is tailor-made for long-term use. The air-suspended cab and the single-wheel-suspended front axle ensure maximum driving comfort even on long working days. The I.B.C. Monitor PRO, the new multifunctional armrest with 10“ touch display, and the clearly arranged controls on the side control console ensure a clear operating concept.
Get in and drive!
Get in and drive: Every driver is a professional with the simple control dial. It is easy to drive the Lintrac: Start the engine, pick the direction, step on the gas and steer. Using the LDrive control dial on the armrest makes for very efficient work.
If the LDrive is activated, rotating the dial sets the speed of travel in a dynamic and infinitely variable manner. Rapid selection buttons are provided for all-wheel, differential, cruise-control memory, creep function, hand & foot accelerator mode and the various driving modes.
Engine
FPT-Motor
Powerful engine for maximum reliability
The Lintrac 160 LDrive is powered by an FPT engine with a displacement of 4.5 liters and common rail injection, delivering 129 kW / 175 hp. It develops an enormous torque of 700 Nm at 1500 rpm – a powerful engine for demanding applications.
Consumption-optimized maximum performance
Precise monitoring of intake air and engine temperatures enables particularly accurate injection. Optimal power delivery and low fuel consumption are the hallmarks of this high-performance unit. When idling, the super low idle mode further reduces the engine speed, saving fuel and reducing noise levels.
Designed for durability
The slim design of the exhaust aftertreatment system and the robust turbocharger make this engine series the ideal drive unit for the Lintrac 160 LDrive – a durable solution for demanding applications. Thanks to the intelligent design of the HI-eSCR2 system, the Stage V solution retains its compact dimensions despite high cooling requirements.
Perfect for cleaning
The engine hood opens automatically after unlocking by means of gas pressure springs. The optimal spacing between the coolers makes them particularly easy to clean.
Intelligent engine cooling
The engine cooling system is demand-controlled by the viscous fan. This allows the engine to reach its consumption-optimized operating temperature more quickly.
Transmission
Continuously variable ZF transmission
The completely redesigned TMT14 continuously variable transmission was developed for the performance of the Lintrac 160 LDrive. High power consumption combined with a compact design was particularly important. Thanks to the largely mechanical power transmission with a low hydrostatic component, the transmission is particularly efficient. Driving is continuously variable from 0 km/h to +50 km/h with reduced engine speed (1660 rpm).
Powerful work and economical transport
The TMT14 is designed for travel speeds of up to 50 km/h. In the transport range, the transmission ratio is designed for particularly economical driving at low speeds. The continuously variable transmission always converts more than 60% and, depending on the area of application, up to 100% of the available power mechanically. This achieves a particularly high degree of efficiency and maximum efficiency.
The Lintrac SmartLift Front Loader mode enables automatically controlled, highly precise and sensitive operation at the touch of a button.
At the touch of a button, the transmission control is adapted to the dynamics of front loader work. The automatic coordination of speed and thrust allows work processes to be carried out more precisely. The 4-wheel steering is intelligently integrated into the loading mode and adapts dynamically to the situation (e.g., tight turning circle when maneuvering or stable driving to the unloading point). Front loader work is completed faster thanks to less maneuvering, higher loading capacity, and more dynamic operation.
Advantages of stepless transmission
- - permanent traction
- - continuous starting
- - fuel-efficient driving with reduced speed at 50 km/h
- - independent control between driving and PTO speed
- - active standstill control
- - automatic parking brake (APB)
Hydraulics
Intelligent hydraulics
The Lintrac 160 is equipped with an axial piston pump with a capacity of 120 l/min. This ensures that the required amount of oil is always delivered and prevents power loss. As with all Lindner vehicles, the Lintrac 160 LDrive also has separate oil systems for the working hydraulics and the transmission/steering.
Driving information
The driving display on the I.B.C. Monitor PRO provides all relevant vehicle information in real time. The I.B.C. Monitor PRO is mounted on the steering column and automatically adjusts when the position of the steering wheel is changed, remaining optimally in the field of vision at all times. You can switch between views with a simple swipe using the touch control.
Hydraulic monitoring
The Lintrac 160 comes standard with 5 electrohydraulic control units that can be individually adjusted via the monitor. The driver can set the flow rates and program time intervals, float position, or lock, or even prioritize the supply of hydraulic power to the individual control units.
4-wheel steering
Power and maneuverability combined in one vehicle
The 4-wheel steering in the Lintrac has already proven itself in practice for more than 10 years. During development, Lindner was able to build on decades of experience with 4-wheel steering in the Unitrac transporter. Extremely stable steering heads made of a special alloy are used. On request, the rear axle can rotate up to 20°, giving the Lintrac 160 LDrive unmatched maneuverability in its performance class.
With its 4-wheel steering, the Lintrac 160 LDrive achieves an outstanding track circle diameter of 8.5 m. The rear wheels can rotate up to 20°. At the touch of a button, the steering angle can be limited for operations with snow chains.
Light
The Lintrac 160 LDrive scores with an innovative lighting concept that meets the high demands of long working days.
Thanks to the use of LED technology throughout, an exceptionally long service life is achieved.
