Kundl, Austria (October 28, 2008) – In the spring of 2008, the Tyrolean agricultural machinery specialist Lindner launched the production of its new Geotrac 4-series. During the factory exhibition, which took place in Kundl between October 23 and 27, the orange-coloured community edition of the Geotrac 124 celebrated its premiere. "There is a huge demand for powerful tractors in agricultural communities and the corporate sector," explains company director Hermann Lindner. The Geotrac 124 has an output of 126 HP and a torque of 550 Nm, the most powerful model in the history of the Lindner company. "Common rail technology integrated into the Geotrac 124 is the answer to the quest for more efficient engines and, considering the ever increasing cost of fuel, this is significant."
The municipal Geotrac 124, which is designed for a max. speed of 50 km/h, is also equipped with a heated front-end loader clear vision screen as well as a 4 x PTO shaft with start-up control system. An integrated signal socket for grit spreaders is also a component of the Geotrac municipal package. "The integrated onboard computer allows for the electronic logging of task and application data – a definite advantage for corporate use." The tractor is fitted with the new Lindner front-end hydraulic system which is routed through the nacelle.
The rear axle outrigger optimises use as a snowplough. The innovative lighting system makes it possible to use the tractor 24 hours around the clock.
Municipal day celebrates its premiere
About 6,000 visitors came to the factory exhibition to find out more about the Lindner Geotrac and Unitrac product range, as well as various other used vehicles. This was the first time Lindner invited the public to the municipal day. “Many community representatives took advantage of this day to find out about the municipal applications of the Geotrac series and the Unitrac transporter – just in time for winter,” says Lindner. “Whether it is used for transportation purposes, as combine harvester or for snow removal: The tasks are becoming more challenging and broader. For that reason, flexible and powerful equipment is in demand, and that’s exactly what the Lindner program offers.“
